No, we may not have won any door prizes at this month’s extra special Chamber After Hours event, Showcase Tompkins. Again. Despite that minor disappointment, though, I’d have to say that this was our most successful year by far doing the Chamber’s annual business tradeshow. 5 out of 5 agree: we rocked the dock. Maybe it was the free stickers we were giving away; maybe it was the timelapse video we did of the Ithaca Festival that was the centerpiece of our booth; and maybe it was because we looked totally rad in our logofied t-shirts and aviator glasses. Whatever it was, we definitely got more exposure and more interest in our awesome little business than ever before. And that’s the best prize of all, right? (Who needs a lousy door prize anyway… sheesh…)

The Ithaca Festival has come and gone but we were sure to document it. Since our Commons Cam has such a great view we decided to hit “record” and let the still frames pile up.Almost 36 hours later the festival activities in The Commons were through and we had nearly 10,000 JPEGs. So naturally, we compressed the frames down (a second of this video is about the equivalent of 12 actual minutes) and made a very abbreviated version of the weekend.Since the above YouTube version is a compressed presentation of our original we decided to post a higher resolution version (and slightly larger) on the Commons Cam Website.We have another special time lapse coming very soon, but its on the “hush hush.”

So despite the DOWNPOUR that soaked thousands of Ithacans and most of the AWP team during the Ithaca Festival parade, the activities are still going strong!

After months of hard work and lots of planning (including a new Ithaca Festival Website) the Festival crew has a lot to celebrate! It is the 30th anniversary of the local event, and this year promises to be better than ever.

Friend and client Patti Witten rocked the Bernie Milton Pavilion Friday afternoon, kicking off the first of many great performances that will take place throughout the weekend.

And of course you can catch a lot of the action on the Commons Cam, which provides constant coverage of the festivities from a unique angle (literally). We’ll all be in attendance, likely wearing the cool retro t-shirts that are for sale. Molly went out and snapped the picture you see above and will likely continue documenting the festival throughout the weekend.
